Alary Road repairs imminent

Alary Road remains impassible since flooding washed out a major section of the roadway on Oct. 30 of last year. Municipality of Pontiac council passed a motion at its most recent meeting to repair the road for a cost of more than $600,000.

The Municipality of Pontiac is finally set to repair the damage done to Alary Road one year ago.
The flooding that occurred on Oct. 30 last year washed out a significant chunk of Alary Road leaving a massive 20-foot gap in the roadway.
According to a motion passed by council on Oct. 9, the municipality accepted the lowest bid, tendered by Gauvreau Terre de Surface for a cost of $612,393.
