Celebrating the Dicksons with music, storytelling

Accompanying the sharing of stories was the chance to play music, in an open mic fashion. Pictured, Jennifer Dickson and her son, Matt Dickson, begin the musical acts with some tributes to David and Rosaleen.
A celebration of life was held at the Coronation Hall in Bristol on Sunday afternoon, where favourite stories of David and Rosaleen Dickson were accounted amongst friends, family and more. Family, friends and more descended upon the Coronation Hall Sunday afternoon, celebrating the lives of two pillars of the community with the sharing of stories and songs.
A few hundred visited the hall in Bristol, paying their respects to David and Rosaleen Dickson, with the latter having passed in January of this year.
The afternoon saw an event centered around an open mic, as guests were welcome to take the stage at any point to share an anecdote or strike up a chord. Their children shared stories of growing up, the importance of music to the family, and the welcoming nature of their parents.
Others shared stories of working jobs early in their careers, getting their start with the couple while working at The Equity.
