Dr. Roly Armitage has led quite a life.
The 92 year-old local author, former veterinarian, politician and veteran of World War II was at the Pontiac Printshop on Saturday morning for a signing promoting his second book, Now, About Yesterday. Roughly 50 people came out to meet the spry nonagenarian and have their copies signed.
The book was a follow-up to Armitage’s previous work, The Way it Was and Now. Both are collections of personal stories from six decades of working as a vet. Despite filling two memoirs with his thoughts, he says that he’s already planning his next one.
