Nail salon all polished up

Perfectly Polished celebrated the grand opening of a new location in Shawville, where friends and family of the owner welcomed guests to the nail salon now found at 370 Main St. From left: Victoria Correia, business owner Michaela Corrigan, Mackenzie Gray and Jennifer Hodgins were busy Friday evening, where treats were shared and door prizes handed out.

One local entrepreneur has found so much success in her home-based business, that now she’s gone on to open a dedicated shop in the retail district of Shawville.
Perfectly Polished can now be found sitting pretty between Hursty’s Bar and Grill and 99 Reasons on Main Street, where the owner, a certified esthetician, will continue to offer her wide selection of nail salon services.
“I’ve been working from home but decided it’d be easier if I had my own spot,” said Michaela Corrigan, owner of Perfectly Polished. “Then this place came up for rent.”
Working on and off from home for around four years now, her clientele base grew. Not too long ago, it was decided she’d better make the leap and get her own location downtown, feeling comfortable enough to service an even larger customer base.
