The Pontiac Forest Producers Board (PFPB) announced that there was an increase in total lumber volume marketed in 2016 during their annual report presentation inside the Campbell’s Bay Recreation Hall on Thursday.
“The office has increased the number of producers and increasing the marketing by two per cent compared to the year 2015 to reach a volume of 111, 247 cubic metres,” said a statement from the former PFPB President, Roy Hérault, who resigned prior to the meeting due to personal reasons. “This delivered volume represents $5.8 million injected into our local economy; something producers and truckers should be very proud of. This increase in marketing allowed some to acquire new forestry equipment.”
