Have you ever experienced that one split second where you don’t have your child beside you? That one second where you look wildly around you and you don’t see them?
In that one second so much goes through your brain, gut wrenching fear, worry and anxiety. If you’re lucky your child reappears in your vision within seconds, other times it takes a little longer, but when you do have them back, you clutch them with all your might. This is what it feels like to “lose” your child. It’s absolutely awful. Of course it happens, to many parents, not just necessarily “bad” parents, or “good” parents, simply any parent.
