As a part of their efforts to expand the variety of events held at Café Downtown, employee Heidi Newberry and owner Natasha Lamadeleine threw a foam party last Saturday.
“We did one when I worked at the day camp at le Patro and it killed with the kids. So I thought, ‘We’re young adults, so we’re gonna have as much fun’,” said Newberry.
The party involved dance music played by DJ Martin Leguerrier and a foam machine.
Next up, Lamadeleine and Newberry say they plan to throw a Hawaiian Tiki Bar Party, a Country Night and a Blast from the Past Night at the Café .
“We want events that just bring people out after covid. After three years you want to go out and party and just make some memories for the times when we couldn’t get to do that,” said Newberry. “We try to open up the things we do here just to bring as much clientele as we can to support each other and just have a nice time.”
