The Parents' Voice

Eleven years strong

This March will mark 11 years of The Parents’ Voice Shawville. We couldn’t be more proud of the committee we’ve developed and maintained over the last 11 years. We have welcomed new members, said goodbye to old members, hosted countless events, activities and developed programs when we could. Our mission has always been to provide families and children in our area with activities, programs and events around or close to our home. We aim to create a community for families and help parents who may feel isolated to develop a relationship with other families in our area, as well as to enable children to make connections with other children in their community.Currently we have the following programs running: Lego Club and Storytime at The Shawville-Clarendon Library (see our Parents Voice Shawville Facebook page for more info on dates), our playgroup for children 0-5: Shawville Shenanigans is back up and running Friday mornings, we just completed our first Intergenerational Activity with the CAP here in Shawville and have many other ideas in the works. We are always looking for extra hands and minds to help organize and develop new ideas, if you are interested in helping us develop, troubleshoot, organize and deliver activities for our area you are invited to our Annual General Meeting which will take place Thursday, February 15th at 8pm at The Shawille Community Lodge (244 Main street Shawville). Our Committee meets once a month most months making it a low level commitment. Check us out on Facebook for more information and message any of the current members for more information.
