Quyon: Jill Young
Here we are, in another week of self-isolation and physical distancing. I know everyone is finding this difficult, especially as we still don’t know how long this will last. However, it remains important to follow the orders and requests of our government and health officials. Stay home as much as possible and only go out for essentials. If we all continue to follow the rules, this will hopefully end soon and we can return to our daily routines. Once again, a big thank you to all of our essential workers who are out on the front lines: doctors, nurses, hospital staff, pharmacists, grocery store employees, truckers and so many more. Thank you for all you do.
I am very appreciative of friends and family who have encouraged me to learn new ways of communicating while staying at home. Everything from our weekly pound exercise classes, trivia nights and family visits have been happening via video chat platforms. It has been great to connect with others outside of my bubble. I’m so grateful for the technology we have to keep us in touch and help us get through this time of anxiety and uncertainty.
Birthday wishes this week are going out to Cameron Bernier and his grandfather Glen Leach, both celebrating on April 1. I’d like to send big wishes out to two of my favourite boys Sam Woermke, turning six on April 3, and to Noah Young, turning five on April 4.
I look forward to celebrating with both of you in the near future. Birthday wishes are also going out to Jack Clarke on the 4, and to Erin Hudson on the 5. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
