Quyon: Jill Young

We have made it to the month of May. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. With the province of Quebec planning to gradually re-open businesses, daycares, and schools, over the next several weeks, it brings both hope and some anxiety. I personally am anxious to discover what our new normal will look like in the days and weeks to come. The nicer weather will surely help to boost our moods as we get used to this new way of life. We must all do our best to keep our spirits up and look forward to better days.
Thoughts are with the family of Carmel Cain Tallon, who passed away suddenly at her home in Pembroke, Ontario on April 20. Condolences to the families at this sad time.
This week we have birthday wishes going out to Amanda MacKechnie-Armitage on May 6, to Annabelle Fleck and Kelly Stanley-Hajdu on the 7, to Griffin Fraser and Debbie Hudson on the 10, to Adam Bernier on the 11, and to Sara Beer-Dowe on the 12. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
As with all special occasions during this unprecedented time, it will likely be a very different Mother’s Day this coming Sunday. We are still unable to gather in groups, so many families won’t be able to get together, but we can all still celebrate the wonderful mothers in our lives. I am especially grateful for mine. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you strong, beautiful, fabulous moms out there.
