Our heartfelt sympathy is with Jacqueline (nee Allard) Vaillancourt of Chapeau in the recent passing of her dearly loved husband Rémi Vaillancourt. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
Last Wednesday afternoon, an unusual visitor was seen in Waltham by many residents in the west end. An adult moose walked lazily about the shore line of Mill Lake and then decided to take in the sites along rue Principale and Bonsecour. After what seemed like a lovely visit, the moose left the village for the forest in particular haste. Local hunters will be forgiven for hoping that this moose gives a favourable review to many other moose for this fall's hunting season.
