Bristol flies the flag proudly

The Wyman rest stop was full of proud Canadians on July 1 as members of the community raised the red and white for the first time on their new flag pole. The pole went up at the rest stop, an entry point into the MRC, as a way to show the region’s Canadian pride.

The Wyman rest stop was full of red- and white-clad Canadians on Saturday as the community gathered to raise the maple leaf up its new flag pole.
Despite soggy weather, and even soggier footing, more than 25 people came out to witness the occasion.
The ceremony started with a quick word from Bristol Councillor Greg Graham and Mayor Brent Orr.
