Firefighters have a ball

The women who volunteered to sell calendars of paintings of Bristol landmarks to raise money for the local fire department presented a giant $5,000 cheque to Bristol Fire Chief Kevin Kluke at the Bristol Fighter Ball on Saturday night. The funds will go towards purchasing better equipment for the firefighters. The volunteers included: Betty Chamberlain, who was hailed by group members as the leader, Bonnie Beveridge, Debbie Doraty-Kilgour, Elva Stark, Elsie Mintosh and Edith Campbell. Not pictured is Nicole Forget.
