January feels like it has just been crawling by. I’m not complaining because winter is my favourite season but I hope everyone is finding ways to pass these cold, dark days.
Families with children playing hockey are keeping busy as there are many taking part in tournaments on the weekends.
Last weekend, Shawville played host to the Bantam/Midget Pontiac Provincial Tournament and next weekend will showcase the Atom/PeeWee level. I’m looking forward to spending some time at the rink as my nephew Caden will be playing with his team, the Aylmer Vikings. This past weekend, they made it all the way to the finals at a tournament in Montreal, losing 2-1 in that final game. Kudos to all the young hockey players in our area. We hope you are all enjoying great seasons and having fun at tournaments.
