Several dozen people gathered at Mickey Creek Golf Club on Saturday morning to hit the greens in support of the Shawville Recreation Association (RA).
Organizer Kathy Murray explained that the RA has been holding an annual golf tournament for the past few years to help with upkeep to the RA hall and keep registration costs down for their activities. She added that it typically brings in about $1,500 for the association.
